Terms & Conditions for Models

If you are considering becoming a model for Hourglass Aesthetics training courses, please read the Terms and Conditions below fully and make sure you have understood them. Our standard Terms & Conditions and Privacy Statement both apply, with the following additions and exceptions:

General

Your role as a model is to facilitate learning but you are first and foremost a valued patient. An experienced Aesthetics Practitioner may demonstrate the treatment technique by performing the procedure on you. An experienced Aesthetics Practitioner may also closely supervise a medical professional enrolled on the training course, who may be performing the procedure on you, following a thorough theoretical overview and practical/video demonstration. Baseline photography will be obtained with your consent. Photography will be used at follow-up to assess treatment, or in educational or promotional material. We would offer you follow-up after your procedure, as we would any other client. We ask all models to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the given appointment time on the day of treatment (day of the training course), to allow for preparation and the smooth running of the training programme.

Booking

You may be required to attend a consultation appointment prior to the course, to ensure suitability and safety for the proposed procedure. We will go through the consent procedure in detail, which is modified to allow consent for trainee practitioners to perform the procedure under supervision. You are perfectly free to go away with the information and there is no pressure to decide on the day of the consultation. If the procedure is contraindicated or may not benefit you, we would not be performing it and therefore you would not be able to volunteer as a model (in keeping with our standard ethos).

Payment

We offer a reduced rate for models, depending on the training course and procedure in question. This will be clearly advertised. Free treatments to incentivise models is frowned upon, considered bad practice and unethical. A £100 deposit is required if you are safe and in agreement to go ahead with the treatment. The remainder of the payment will be collected on the day of the treatment (the day of the training course). We accept cash or card payments but have a strong preference for card payments.

Cancellations

Your deposit is fully refundable if you would like to cancel. However, you will lose your deposit if you cancel later than 48 hours prior to the course commencing. We reserve the right to cancel the course at any time, but will give you at least 24 hours of notice and refund the deposit in full, should this occur.
